Rajkot, June, 01: Ahmedabad’s Jiya Trivedi came up with a stupendous performance as the second seed toppled the top seed and city-mate Mouboni Chatterjee to take home the sub-junior girls (U-15) girls’ title of the 1st Gujarat State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2023 organised by the Rajkot District Table Tennis Association, under the aegis of Gujarat State Table Tennis Association, at SAG Multipurpose Indoor Hall in Rajkot on Thursday.
The tournament is sponsored by Western Railway Mazdoor Sangh and supported by Sports Authority of Gujarat (SAG).
In the Hope Boys (U-11) category, second seed Ansh Khamar of Ahmedabad thumped top seed Akhil Achha of Surat to win the crown.
Top seed in Hope Girls (U-11), Vincy Tanna easily went past her city-mate and second seed Tanisha Deputy to grab the title.
The title clash of the Cadet Girls (U-13) category will witness second seed Dania Godil of Surat taking on fifth seed Khwahish Lotia.
