Adani Institute of Digital Technology Management holds 1st convocation

Ahmedabad : The Adani Institute of Digital Technology Management (AIDTM) conducted its first convocation on Saturday. The 2021-23 batch included students from two AICTE-approved PGDM programmes – Big Data Analytics and Technology Management.

A total of 20 students successfully completed their programmes: 16 from PGDM (Big Data Analytics) and 4 from PGDM (Technology Management). Mr Rushabh Shah, PGDM (Big Data Analytics), and Mr. Bhavesh Motvani, PGDM (Technology Management) batch, received awards for outstanding academic performance.

Dr Preet Deep Singh, Chief Analytics Officer & Vice-President at Invest India, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Mr Rohit Pathak, CEO of Birla Copper at Hindalco Industries Ltd., was the guest of honour for the inaugural convocation. Dr. Priti G. Adani, Chairperson of Adani Foundation, presided over the ceremony. Dr. Rama Moondra, Dean, Adani Institute of Digital Technology Management conferred the degree to the students. Distinguished figures from academia and industry attended the event.

AIDTM introduced the ‘Best Student Award in Quantitative Techniques’, which will be presented for the next 25 years. The award, instituted by Kalaga Trust, includes a cash prize of Rs 10,000 for a student who excels in statistics at AIDTM. The first recipient was Ms. Bharvi Sharma from PGDM (Big Data Analytics).

Addressing the students, Dr. Preet Deep Singh emphasized the importance of basic learning and maintaining a positive attitude in life. He highlighted the promising future of data analytics, saying, “It presents the biggest career opportunity today, with the nation investing significant resources.” He pointed to the escalating significance of AI across various sectors.

Mr Rohit Pathak laid emphasis on the significance of smart manufacturing and the growing, extensive utilization of data analytics within manufacturing in India.

Dr. Priti Adani spoke about the dynamic landscape of technology and the pivotal role of big data analytics and technology management. She underscored the universal significance of artificial intelligence and cyber security, asserting their relevance across diverse industries.
