Narayan Seva Sansthan to empower 379 differently-abled in Surat with free artificial limbs on May 11

Surat. 9 May 2025 : Narayan Seva Sansthan, in collaboration with Shri Shantaben Tribhuvandas Patel Charitable Trust and TM Patel International School, will host a free artificial limb and caliper fitting camp in Surat on Sunday, May 11, at Maharaja Agrasen Bhavan, City Light, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The camp will benefit 379 differently-abled individuals, who lost their limbs due to accidents. These beneficiaries were selected during a prior limb measurement camp held on February 23, where over 500 people were assessed.

The prosthetic limbs with advanced German technology, aim to help recipients regain mobility, independence, and dignity. “We are committed to empowering the differently-abled and reintegrating them into society,” said Achal Singh Bhati, Surat branch in-charge and camp coordinator. The organization calls on Surat citizens to participate and support the cause. “Together, we can give these individuals not just limbs, but a new life,” said Bhati.

TM Patel International Chairman Harishbhai Patel highlighted the institute’s global outreach, with similar camps conducted in countries such as Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Nepal. Narayan Seva Sansthan currently fits around 1,500 limbs every month, helping transform lives across borders. The camp will also provide free meals, walking training, and support from a 40-member expert team. Over 100 social workers and dignitaries are expected to attend and show their solidarity.

Narayan Seva Sansthan, founded in 1985, has helped lakhs of differently-abled people with medical aid, education, training, and sports. Founder Kailash Manav received the Padma Shri, and current President Prashant Agarwal received the President’s Award in 2023. The organization has already fitted over 40,000 artificial limbs and now plans to support more people in Gujarat.
