“TeamLease Skills University celebrated 76th Independence Day”

Vadodara:- TeamLease Skills University celebrated ’76th Independence Day’ at the University Campus with great fervour, as part of the ongoing celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. University provost Prof. (Dr.) Avani Umatt hoisted the National Flag followed by the National Anthem in the presence of Faculty, Staff and Students of the University.

In her address, Prof. Umatt she stressed on the need to make the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ movement, a Jan Andolan and the movement is the responsibility of all. She resonated the honourable Prime Minister’s words to the youth to take an oath to make India a developed country by the 100 years of Independence at 2047, as well as the necessity to add Jai Anusadhan to Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan slogan. She saluted all those who fought for Independence of the country. Prof. Umatt was happy to share the progress of the University in the last year, where the University got NAAC accreditation with a B grade, being the first Skills University in the country to be graded as well as now has 2 patents to its name. She also announced 2 newly launched programmes BBA (Sports Management) and B.Sc. (Medical Laboratory Technology) with effect from this academic year.

Following this address, all students and staff present joined in an enthusiastic rally as a part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ mission, lead by the Provost Prof. Umatt and the Registrar, Prof H C Trivedi. The University also distributed more than 400 flags under the aegis of this mission. Adding to the celebration, documentaries on the history of the Indian Flag, and a Tribute to the Journey of India’s Independence as well as Partition Horrors Remembrance Day were aired in the University Auditorium. Students sang Patriotic songs and engaged in indoor sports. The combined efforts of the NSS, RasRang Club and the Sports Club of the University, put up a celebration to remember.
