Degrees were awarded to 64 students in the 7th Convocation of TeamLease Skills University

Vadodara: TeamLease Skills University, Vadodara, India’s First Vocational Skills University presented its Graduates as well Diploma holders at the University’s Seventh Convocation Ceremony. The convocation was also broadcast live on Facebook.

The Registrar of TeamLease Skills University Prof Dr H C Trivedi gave the welcome address and presented the University report. The Provost of TeamLease Skills University Prof. Dr Avani Umatt, conferred the degrees and Diplomas to the graduands and delivered the Keynote address. Mr Rishikesh Raval, President – Group Human Resources & Corporate Communications, Zydus Lifesciences Ltd., graced the occasion as chief guest and delivered the convocation address.

A total of 54 degrees (3 BBA (Finance), 5 BBA (Marketing), 13 B.Com. (Finance and Business Operations), 1 B.Sc. (Hospitality and Tourism Management); 12 BCA (Software Development), 18 BCA (Infrastructure Management Services), 4 B.Sc. (Mechatronics) ), 8 Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology) were awarded at the Seventh Convocation organized to confer Degrees and Diplomas to students who successfully completed their respective programmes in 2024. Six Students: Kanojiya Bhumi Hiteshkumar and Patel Priya Niravkumar of Department of Commerce and Management Shah Bhavyangi Hiteshkumar and Prince Thomas of Department of Information Technology, Prateek Sengupta of the Department of Mechatronics, Jaiswal Mahek Haresh of Department of Health, Life and Applied Sciences were awarded the TLSU gold medal for the academic year 2024-25, for passing all semesters at the first attempt with overall best academic performance amongst all students graduating in their respective discipline.

In the keynote address, after congratulating the graduates for their achievements, Provost Prof. Dr. Avani Umatt, addressed the graduates as the catalysts of change for the future. She spoke about the challenges of the real world and how students should always look ahead with courage and determination. She highlighted the relevance of lifelong learning and the need to take calculated risks in life. Prof Umatt urged students not to fear failure, but to use it as a learning opportunity, on the path of success. “Cultivate a spirit of teamwork, celebrate others’ success and practice gratitude daily.” said Prof. Umatt .

She highlighted that the skills and knowledge the graduates had acquired at the University will serve as their compass, guiding them through the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
Mr. Rishikesh Raval, while congratulating the graduates, highlighted that they need to embibe 3 valuable lessons:
1. Consistency of purpose
2. Consistency and commitment of efforts
3. Responsibility of results
For growth and success in life
