Navsari. 10th May 2025 : The Navsari Management Association (NMA), in collaboration with The SURSEZ Unit Holders Association (SEZ, Sachin) and the Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA), successfully conducted a half-day workshop on “Finance for Export & MSMEs” on May 10, 2025. The event aimed to educate and guide participants on critical financial aspects related to export activities and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
Mr. K Rajasekaran, Former AGM of Global Trust Bank Ltd., and a consultant and corporate trainer in Export-Import Procedures conducted the workshop and shared his extensive knowledge and expertise with the attendees, covering a range of essential topics, including: MSME definitions and coverage; Criteria and conditions for obtaining credit limits from banks; Introduction to export finance, guidelines, and definitions; Export finance options from banks, coverage, and guidelines; Pre-shipment and post-shipment finance guidelines and precautions; Financing against export letters of credit; Credit risk coverage through ECGC; and Factoring as a financing tool.
The workshop witnessed active participation from professionals, exporters, and entrepreneurs eager to enhance their understanding of export finance and MSME funding. Participants gained valuable insights into navigating the financial landscape, accessing necessary funds, and mitigating risks in export-related transactions.
The representative of AMA said that, “The workshop provided a valuable platform for participants to learn about the intricacies of export finance and MSME funding.” One of the participants said that, “The session was highly informative and interactive, and we believe the knowledge gained will empower businesses to thrive in the global market.”
The Navsari Management Association, The SURSEZ Unit Holders Association (SEZ, Sachin) and Ahmedabad Management Association plan to organize more such workshops and seminars in the future to support local businesses and promote economic growth in the region.
