We will be very happy to provide Smile treatment, along with Lasik, PRK, Femto, and ICL, the entire boutique of refractive options, for the entire population of South Gujarat. This innovative procedure offers patients the opportunity to achieve clearer vision with rapid recovery and minimal discomfort.”
The Relex SMILE (Small Incision Lenticule Extraction) procedure marks a significant advancement in refractive surgery, offering patients a groundbreaking alternative to traditional LASIK surgery. This minimally invasive procedure, often likened to “keyhole surgery,” facilitates rapid visual recovery, enabling patients to resume their daily activities sooner compared to other refractive surgery options. Suitable candidates for Relex SMILE are individuals aged 18 years and above with a stable glass prescription for at least one year and suitable corneal topography.
Key benefits of the Relex SMILE procedure for patients include faster healing and recovery times, with patients typically able to return to their daily activities within a day of the procedure. The procedure involves a 2mm incision, minimizing trauma to the eye and ensuring a comfortable experience for patients.
Patients typically notice improvements in their vision within a few hours to a maximum of three days post-surgery. However, it is essential for patients to adhere to post-operative instructions provided by their surgeon to optimize their results. Lifestyle changes and precautions may include restricted screen usage for 2 to 3 days, avoidance of head baths and face wash for a week, refraining from driving for a week, wearing protective glasses for the prescribed duration, and avoiding eye rubbing.
