Financial Inclusion and Financial Literacy Mission, Marathwada Level Awareness Cycle Rally Launched

An innovative initiative of Maharashtra Gramin Bank

Aurangabad  July 2022, From 20th July to 31st July 2022, bank is organizing “Financial Inclusion and Financial Literacy Campaign” through 550 km cycle rally covering 30 villages and all districts of Marathwada on the occasion of Bank’s 13th foundation day and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. This campaign has been organized by Maharashtra Gramin Bank and NABARD jointly. Chetna cycle rally has started today from the Head Office of the bank at Aurangabad with the ideas such as financial literacy and financial inclusion in Marathwada, promotion and dissemination of social security scheme, hundred percent crop loan review/renewal – distribution, recovery through ambitious Mahagramin Baliraja Taranhar Yojana etc.

The Chetna cycle rally started from Head Office at 6.30 am, flag off by General Manager of NABARD Shri M J Srinivasulu and Hon. Collector Aurangabad Shri. Sunil Chavan. On this occasion, 5 new bank owned vehicles were handed over to the Regional Managers by dignitaries to speed up the bank’s work. This cycle rally will pass through the districts of Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed, Parbhani, Nanded, Latur and will be concluded at Omerga in Osmanabad an aspirational district on 31st July. This rally will pass through 31 branches of the bank and gatherings will be held from 100 villages.

Maharashtra Gramin Bank has distributed loan of Rs 1756 crore under Kisan Credit Card to 208282 farmers till now in this Kharif season. It’s almost double as compared to previous year. Various programs have been organized on the occasion of the bank’s foundation day at all branches & offices of bank. Blood donation camp will be held at the Head Office, Aurangabad. Concessional repayment in previous overdue amount and sanction of new loans through innovative scheme “Mahagramin Baliraja Taranhar Yojana” is being implemented by our bank. To give benefit of the same and various schemes by the government,more than 100 camps are being arranged by the bank in this cycle rally. Officers including Chairman, Chief General Manager, General Manager, Chief Managers, Regional Managers are participating in this rally.

Financial inclusion and financial literacy gathering will be held in this activity. Shri Milind Gharad, Chairman of the Bank has made appeal to a large number of rural and urban citizens to participate in this gathering and also on this occasion. Regional Managers, Branch Managers, Bank employees, distinguished citizens and account holders, Lead Bank Officers, District Development Officer NABARD etc. were present at this occasion.
