Ahmedabad: Students from Global Indian International School, Ahmedabad recorded fantastic results at the highly competitive CBSE XII boards today, with 92% of the cohort of 55 securing the first division, adding another feather to the cap of the Ahmedabad school which has ensured its students consistently perform impressively in decisive exams.
Dev Barot of the Commerce stream topped the batch with 95.8%, while Science students Jeenal Darji secured second rank at 95.2% and Sonali Modi got the third rank with 93%. A total of 41.81% students scored above 80% marks. The school average was 78.28%.
Commenting on the results, Mr Caesar D’silva, Principal, GIIS, Ahmedabad said, “I congratulate students and teachers on the outstanding results in the decisive XII exams. This year’s batch was the first to undergo board exams in the new format, and to be evaluated under the new assessment system.”
Students showed tremendous resilience and hard work in a year which saw the exams split into two batches. Mr D’silva applauded his teaching faculty for continuing to guide the cohort and ensuring they come out as winners.
“Our teachers played a very important role in this success. It was a proud moment for the entire fraternity – including teachers, students and parents – who embraced the changes well, and collaborated to achieve a fantastic performance”, he said.
