Bhubaneswar, (Odisha) [India] April 07, 2026: The prestigious Royal Abacus International Crown, a grand championship in mental mathematics, is being hosted at ODM Global School,Bhubaneswar. Jointly organized by Bless Abacus Academy (Belpahar), Amethyst Abacus Academy (Rourkela), and Brain Master Abacus Institute (Bhubaneswar), the event has attracted nearly 500 students from across India, along with international participants.
The competition aims to showcase exceptional mental arithmetic skills, speed, and concentration among young learners. Participants are required to solve 200 questions within just 10 minutes, making it a rigorous test of accuracy and cognitive ability. The championship is being conducted in two formats: an offline examination for Indian participants and an online mode for international contenders.
The event consists of two rounds. The first round will identify national-level champions, while the second round—a live global competition—will determine the ultimate World Cup holder.
The championship reflects a strong mission to promote abacus learning as a tool for enhancing brain development, improving concentration, and accelerating academic success. Organizers emphasized that abacus training plays a vital role in strengthening mathematical skills and overall intellectual growth in today’s competitive world.
The event is led by prominent educationists, including Ashwinii P. Kalwani and Mehak Kalwani of Blessed Abacus Academy, Sandhyarani Sahu of Amethyst Abacus Academy, and Lilabati Mishra of Brain Master Educational Trust, each contributing significantly to the field of mental mathematics education.
