Hazira team wins AM/NS India Cup 2022

Hazira-Surat: The Hazira team emerged the winners in ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India’s (AM/NS India) AM/NS India Cup 2022, which saw enthusiastic participation from AM/NS India’s employees from different locations across the country.

The six-day AM/NS India Cup 2022 was organized by the HR and Admin Department of AM/NS India Hazira from April 11-16 at Hazira. Teams from Hazira, Paradeep, Dabuna, Pune, Mumbai, Vizag, Barbil and the Rest of India participated in the tournament.

Fourteen cricket matches of 15-15 overs were played as a part of the tournament, while the final match was a T20. Batting first in the final, the Hazira team scored an impressive 229 runs for the loss of three wickets. The Hazira team also came up with an excellent bowling performance in the final as the Paradeep team could manage to score only 66 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. The Hazira team was declared the winner of the AM/NS India Cup 2022.

The Hazira team also bagged the batsman, the best bowler, man of the match, and man of the series awards. Viral Patel was declared the best batsman and man of the match, while captain Nirav Patel was declared the best bowler and man of the series. The winners revelled in their victory as they received the winner’s trophy and the other prizes at the hands of Executive Director Santosh Mundhada, SMP-1 head of department Hitesh Seth, and Security-Fire head Captain Sujoy Kumar Ganguli.

Kiran Vaidya from the Admin department and Mohammad Imran from the HR department were also present at the presentation ceremony.
