Labour minister Balvantsinh Rajput visits AM/NS India Skill Academy

Hazira-Surat, 7th January 2023: Government of Gujarat’s Industries, Civil Aviation, Rural Development, Labour, and Employment Minister Balvantsinh Rajput visited ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India’s (AM/NS India) Academy for Skill Development at Hazira in Surat on Saturday.

The Academy offers theoretical and practical training in the state-of-the-art facility of AM/NS India for work-integrated degree programs in steel technology to engineers to help them up-skill. The Academy has partnered with Kaushalya – The Skill University, a government of Gujarat initiative, to offer three integrated courses – Bachelor’s Degree in Steel Technology, Bachelor’s Degree in Renewable Energy, and Post Graduate Diploma in Steel Technology.

“We are happy to welcome honourable industries and labour & employment minister Balvantsinh Rajput to AM/NS India Academy for Skill Development. He was very interested in the Academy’s work and appreciated the efforts for skill development and our work-integrated academic degree program, where we have focus on the on-job training and skill impartment. We reiterated our commitment to provide holistic learning to young candidates with a blend of classroom teaching and practical training at the Academy,” said Dr. Anil Matoo, Head of Human Resource Operations, IR, and Administration at AM/NS India. 

AM/NS India has started the work on a new and bigger building of the Academy, which will be equipped with state-of-the-art learning infrastructure, training halls, classrooms, technical labs, computer lab, library, and other facilities.
