ONGC Hazira Plant Successfully Conducts Debate Competition for Swachhta Pakhwada 2024

Surat, Gujarat – July 12, 2024 – As part of its contribution to Swachhta Pakhwada 2024, ONGC Hazira Plant, Surat organized a well-attended debate competition on July 11th, 2024 at Sarvjanik College of Commerce and Computer Applications, Surat. The competition centered on the thought-provoking topic: “Should littering be made a penal offense in India?”

The event served as a platform to raise awareness about the importance of swachhta (cleanliness) and engage young minds in the nationwide campaign. Students participated enthusiastically, demonstrating a deep understanding of the issue and passionately arguing both sides of the debate.

A distinguished panel of judges, including Chief Manager (HR) R K Yadava, DyLA Priyanka Maurya from ONGC, and Principal Ms. Hemina Adhvaryu of the college, presided over the competition.

Following the competition, Sh. R K Mishra, In Charge CSR at ONGC Hazira, congratulated the winners and motivated all participating students to become advocates for cleanliness. He emphasized the importance of raising awareness through all means possible to create a cleaner and healthier environment.
