Kolkata, 4th July, 2024: The West Bengal Garment Manufacturers and Dealers Association’s 56th Garment Buyers & Sellers Meet, organized over three days (1st, 2nd, & 3rd July 2024) held at Biswa Bangla (Milan Mela), Kolkata. At this landmark event, over 950 National and International brands participated. This Exhibition is the oldest one in this region and has been very successful once again like always. The Meet here registered 2500+ visitors from all around the country and abroad and had an approximated Rs. 1000 Crore business transaction at the wholesale deals. The visitors have shown appreciation for decor and ambience and the hospitality offered by the Association.
On this occasion, Sri. Hari Kishan Rathi, President of West Bengal Garment Manufacturers & Dealers Association stated, “This industry currently employs over 55 lac people in direct or indirect capacities, making it one of the largest in the world. An estimated Rs. 1000 Crore commercial deal in which 950 domestic and international brands took part. This Meet has consistently demonstrated its ability to support Bengal’s ready-made garment industry. We are really grateful for the government’s efforts to support the ready-made clothes and textile industries in order to advance the apparel sector and marketing.” Mr. Rathi also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the team of Executive Committee, The Sponsors and the participants who have made this event a grand success.”
