Vadodara, September 5, 2025: TeamLease Skills University (TLSU), India’s first vocational skills university, celebrated the academic achievements of its students at its Eighth Convocation Ceremony, held on Thursday and also live-streamed on Facebook.
The proceedings began with a warm welcome and university report from Prof. Dr. H. C. Trivedi, Registrar, followed by the conferral of degrees and diplomas by Prof. Dr. Avani Umatt, Provost, who also delivered the keynote address. Mr. Anant Indulkar, Vice President HR, Reliance Industries Ltd., graced the occasion as Chief Guest and delivered the convocation address.
This year, 44 degrees were awarded across a range of programs, including BBA (Finance, Marketing, Sports Management), B.Com. (Finance and Business Operations), BCA (Software Development and Infrastructure Management Services), and B.Sc. (Medical Laboratory Technology).
Six students received TLSU Gold Medals for the academic year 2024–25 in recognition of their outstanding academic performance: Rathod Drashti Amarsinh, Sharma Kashish Mahesh, Umatt Karan Rajesh, Thakor Pururajsinh Jaspalsinh, Bhagat Meet Dineshbhai, and Rathwa Harshitkumar Sevanbhai.
Among these medalists, BBA (Sports Management) graduate Karan Umatt deserves special mention. Excelling both academically and on the cricket field, Karan has represented Baroda in the BCCI Under-16, Under-19, and now Under-23 categories, and has been selected for advanced training at the National Cricket Academy. His journey highlights TLSU’s commitment to nurturing talent that thrives beyond the classroom.
In her keynote, Prof. Dr. Avani Umatt congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to embody resilience, adaptability, and integrity. “You are not just graduates you are future leaders, innovators, and changemakers,” she said.
Mr. Anant Indulkar also congratulated the students and offered valuable insights into future workplace readiness. Ms. Neeti Sharma, management representative, extended her warm wishes to the graduating class, and Mr. Manish Sabharwal, President of TLSU, conveyed his heartfelt blessings.
The convocation concluded on a celebratory note with a vote of thanks, marking a memorable day for TLSU, its students, and their families.
