Students, parents and teachers participate in yoga sessions promoting physical and mental well being
Surat: T. M. Patel International School (TMPIS), Surat celebrated International Yoga Day with enthusiasm and active participation from students, parents and teachers under the theme “Yoga for Harmony and Wellness.” The programme highlighted the importance of yoga in achieving a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
The celebration commenced with a prayer seeking positivity and well being, followed by a yoga session conducted under the guidance of Ms. Rutul, Founder of Samtva Yog with Rutul, who graced the occasion as the guest instructor. Participants were guided through various yoga postures, breathing techniques and mindfulness practices aimed at enhancing physical fitness and mental clarity.
A key highlight of the event was a special formation performance presented by students, showcasing the values of unity, discipline and teamwork. The presentation received appreciation from parents and teachers for its coordination and message driven approach.
The programme also featured an interactive session where students, parents and faculty members actively engaged in learning the benefits of yoga and its practical application in daily life. The session emphasized the role of yoga in reducing stress, improving concentration and fostering overall well-being.
Speaking on the occasion, K. Maxwell Manohar, Director and Principal, T. M. Patel International School, said, “Yoga is an invaluable gift of India to the world. It teaches discipline, mindfulness and inner balance. The event concluded with the National Anthem, leaving participants inspired to incorporate yoga into their daily routine and embrace a healthier, more balanced way of life.
