Surat, Gujarat | April 26, 2026 At a time when students and parents are beginning to explore overseas education earlier and with greater focus on planning, affordability and outcomes, The WorldGrad, in partnership with OnTrack Education, successfully hosted The Global Launchpad – From Surat to the World in Surat on April 26, 2026. Held at Regenta – The World, Parvat Patiya, the event brought together over 100+ participants, reflecting a clear shift from destination-led decisions to more informed and structured study abroad planning.
Designed for Class 12 students, diploma holders, and Class 12 passouts and their parents, the event focused on practical routes to global education, including academic profile analysis, preferred destinations, degree options, and eligibility requirements, scholarships, admissions timelines, visa readiness and the growing popularity of smart overseas transfer and twinning programmes. Through expert sessions and personalised counselling, participants explored how students can begin up to 2 years of their academic journey with The WorldGrad before progressing to partner university campuses across the USA, UK, Australia, UAE and Singapore.
A key highlight was the certified workshop, ‘Artificial Intelligence Essentials: From Understanding to Implementation’, led by Dr. Kiran Trivedi from the University of Wollongong (UOW) India. The session introduced students to AI’s growing impact across industries and the skills increasingly valued in future careers.
Nimay Kalyani, Campus Director of UOW India (GIFT City Campus), provided students and parents with deeper insights into how global education models are evolving, and how students can access international learning opportunities with improved return on investment.
Speaking at the event, Amit Garga, Co-Founder, The WorldGrad, said, “Students today have more global education choices than ever before, but greater choice also creates greater complexity for families. What students need is not just access to universities, but clarity on costs, timelines and long-term outcomes. We are seeing strong demand for smarter models such as transfer and twinning programmes, where students can begin their studies in a more cost-effective and academically supported manner before progressing overseas. Surat reflects the growing maturity of Tier-2 markets, where families are approaching study abroad decisions with far greater planning and intent than in the past.”
The event also recorded strong participation during the counselling and spot admissions segment, with over 50+ participants opting for profile-based consultations covering eligibility, scholarships, course selection and application timelines. High interest was observed in programmes such as Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Data Science, while parents sought a deeper understanding of cost optimisation, visa processes and student support systems.
Adding to this, Mamta Jani said, “In cities like Surat, families are starting the overseas education journey much earlier and asking sharper questions around return on investment, employability and academic fit. The conversation has moved beyond where to study toward how to build the right academic plan. That is an encouraging shift. Our objective through initiatives like The Global Launchpad is to bring credible guidance, transparent planning and personalised counselling closer to students at the point when decisions matter most. When students plan early, they are able to access stronger options, better scholarships and more confident outcomes.”
The event concluded with one-on-one counselling sessions, enabling students and parents to receive personalised guidance on course choices, financial planning and the most suitable study abroad options.
